Honestly, as a fellow Romanian,Im not in love with the whole thief thing.Not all Romanians are thiefs,yet this is a stereotype many of us have to continuously face when interacting with non-Romanian people.If this wasnt intentional...its a pretty ironic coincidence.
Gavril is only Romanian because he is cousins with the main character of the series, Bubo, who is not a thief. Didn't mean to perpetuate any stereotypes! Gavril steals because hes a hungry homeless guy that wants to get by, and a ton of different characters in the story who aren't Romanian are far greedier than he is, but I still apologize for the negativity this can cause.
